I met Richard Lacroix in Houston about 1980-81. He was OK with me. We tried to get involved in the Bay of Campeche oil spill but my boss at the time did not want to get involved. We tried to get a skimmer to lift some of the oil. He spent money taking me to restaurants and I was not charged for anything but I let him borrow my office. I recall his very small girlfriend at the time but not her name. He was OK with me and I was not defrauded although my office paid for all teleprinter and phone communications this was OK at the time. He was from Boston and some sortor about the Kennedys...But it was Texas (Houston) and I was fresh out from England. He taught me how to eat lobster and cooked some good dinners. I am sure it is the same man!
I am not anonymous as above. I am Barrie Stevens now aged 73 in Chelmsford, Essex England. Richard Lacroix, myself and his girlfriend discussed the similarities between Boston Massachusetts and area and my area in England. Many place names are common to both due to the colonial America immigration pre-Revolution. Lost of Essex people went to Mass.
The last I have herd, Reiben an LaCroix are both still in upstate NY. And have been spotted in Geneva, NY.
